THE DEATH AND LIFE OF EDWARD REED begins with two plagues spanning 500 years, but it is not a novel about the catastrophe of disease. Instead, the novel explores the value of human life through the interaction of two spirits with the world around them. Via a moment of grace, prohibition-era gangster Eddie Reed is given a chance to understand his life’s many failures and set them right. His guide in his afterlife journey is a kindred soul named Adi, a spirit whose own life mirrors Eddie’s in many ways. The novel takes Eddie from his childhood to his death and through his afterlife, where he discovers the life he ought to have lived from the start.

At present, I am seeking representation for this novel. Thanks so much for your interest.
